Jupiter is the most massive planet in the Solar System. It's also one of the brightest objects in the night sky.
One winter night in 1609, Galileo Galilei decided to spy on Jupiter with his telescope. By doing that, he discovered small dots following it. He wasn't hallucinating, the dots - in reality, bright natural satellites - were really there, and today we know them as Io, Europa, Ganymede, and Calysto.
A few centuries later, another Galileo, a NASA spacecraft, entered the giant planet's orbit. Its long scientific adventure revealed numerous wonders of the Jupiter system.
This is a story of two Galileos, a man and a machine. Each in their own era, they gave us a fresh take on old questions, redefining our view of the universe.
